Today the speculation on the 6 rider line up for the new Trek sponsored World Cup program reaches a conclusion with the announcement that 29 year old Tracy Moseley from near Malvern in the UK has signed up to ride a Session 88 from January 1, 2009.
Tracy is one of the greatest downhillers in the sport's history and has a place in a very exclusive club of only 5 downhill riders, male or female, to have won 10 or more World Cup races in their career. Tracy has won her 10 World Cup races between 2002 and 2008, with two of those victories taking place in the past season at the Fort William and Canberra rounds.

Tracy joins World #5 Justin Leov (NZL), and South African Andrew Neethling, as well as XC team mates Lukas and Mathias Flueckiger (SUI), and fellow countryman (and near neighbor), Liam Killeen.
On the announcement, Tracy said today: "I am really excited to have this great opportunity to ride on a new exciting bike from 2009, and with a great team around me to give me all the support I'll need to further improve. I'm also really happy to have 2 great guys to ride with as I believe that is really important for my ongoing development as a racer. These three things combined, the new bike, the team support and my team mates, will make a big difference to me."
Team Director Martin Whiteley says: "It's a thrill for us to be able to announce Tracy in our line up. We've been excited about the idea of having 3 DH riders and even more so to be back in the game of women's DH racing. Tracy showed everyone what she can do on the physically demanding and pedaling courses like Fort William and Canberra this past season, and looking at 2009's venues, Tracy will be well positioned for a great season with us on her new Trek Session 88 DH."
Trek Mountain Bike Brand Manager Michael Browne says: "Trek is extremely happy to have Tracy Moseley join the ranks of the DH roster. Her world-class performances and professional manner are a perfect match to the existing roster, one which Trek is excited to expand beyond a men's-only team. Trek is confident that Moseley will fulfill her greatest potential aboard the Session 88 DH in the 2009 season."
Co-sponsors for the team are coming together rapidly and 23 Degrees will be in a position to announce those in the next couple of weeks.

Wow, rinkystinkydinky, your comment shows an incredible lack of restraint or brains. You did not even take the fifteen seconds to Google Tracy's name, therefore exposing your complete ignorance of the fact that SHE'S A GIRL!!!
So, yes, apparently you ARE a dumbass.
But it's not because you don't know this guy is.

It seems KONA focus to expend their budget on their Clump team..
Congratulation for Trek & Tracy...good luck

This is great news. I like Tracy so much. Good lukc for her. She is fast, she is strong and for me she is pretty. All the best for her.
If she did that good on a Kona, she is going to rip it up on the Trek. We have a large session 88 dh here at the shop and it weighed in a just over 37 lbs on our sh*ty shop scale with 50/50 pedals. The bike feels great and looks sweet. Once they do the team tweeks to it and make it a little lighter, it should be one of the bikes to beat on the world cup.
The only problem with the 88 is it takes so long to get one in,we special orderedthis one mid summer for the guy and it just got here last week.

How sweet looking is the sesson in real life? Well we have guys talking about the bike in sexual terms and humping it, so yes it it that nice looking fur sure
You know something I dont obviously lol, but in my eyes Kona have moved themselves to the Slopestyle market
rinkystinkydinky: it is only in America that people could possibly think that 'Tracy' was anything other than a chick's name. Read more widely, learn to spell, but you summed yourself up perfectly.
i think its probably a good move for tracy as the bikes better, the moneys probably better ,the companys bigger and probably has more money to spend and they really want to promote the new bike in 09.i see nothing really new or exciting coming from kona.i guess only time will tell for the rest.
