Underworld Cup - Finals - With Paris Gore

Apr 29, 2013
by Paris Gore
Welcome to the Underworld Cup 2013 Finals. The official World Cup season is coming up quickly, and the riders are getting their last few races and test sessions in. One of the bigger races before the first World Cup at Fort William, Scotland, the Underworld Cup gives some idea of who is where and what the season could be looking like. Of course, it's still too early in the season to know who will take the overall this year, but it's always fun to start the guessing early.

At the foot of the Olympic National Park lays Dry Hill a venue well loved by many and after this weekend many more riders anxious to come back to the ripping track.

Little side note, Jackson Goldstone showed up on his mega road trip to take the win against the 12 and under class. Kid has an insane amount of skill, and is clearly prepping for his long career of photo shoots.

Stevie leaning into the last turn to taking his first big win of the season. Stevie won by a solid two seconds ahead of the back. Familiar with the terrain here this is defiantly a course suited for the young gun.

Jill Kintner takes her third win in a week. With two wins at Sea Otter, could she be on the path to World Cup domination?

Stevie Smith taking his second win here at Port Angeles. Stevie has a solid season ahead of him on fire from his first win at a World Cup last year. Both Stevie and Jill Kintner are two champions on the road to domination.

Oh well, good on ya for owning up to it. Was there an understanding that beer would be supplied? It'd be funny if they volunteered to help you, and then you found out afterward (through a photo caption) they expected beer.

No, I offered him beer for the help to get my brakes working and for a fresh derailure cable. I apologized to him on Instagram today, I was forgiven but still feel guilty for not paying up.

I get: without leaving the bench. A euphemism for without even trying?
  • 4 0
@emu-er haha you guys. Actually, in China's internet world, people call the first reply a "sofa", cuz it's the closest place to the post, just like watching TV, you've get a good position and a cozy seat. and the second reply is called a "bench" or a "stool", for it's not as good a position as the first one.

What I commented should be translated as "I take the bench and won't leave it to others." Just want to know if there is any Chinese guys also focusing on this post.

Sorry if you feel it boring, but at least you've learnt something new (and boring).

Wink
