Maxxis Presents, a new web-series spanning the entire UCI MTB World Cup series, 'Rubber Side Down'.
During these edits, we'll be taking an in depth look at different teams and their workings under the Maxxis banner, including both XC and Downhill! Find out how and why they run the setup they do, with insight from both the riders and their mechanics...
"First lift this mornin' I was jus smilin', jus like, all the boys in the lift jus like we're back at it. I mean a lot of prep for this year and erm it's cool for it to finally be underway."
XC looks like it hurts, i wonder how much faster they could go through those bump sections with a dropper post, yes it's extra weight but i feel like they'd go so much faster through those sections and while it's not a huge part of the course, being able to carry the speed and have more comfort and control may go a long ways later in the race.
i was wondering about that in hafjell last year as well. met a few xc guys on the black downhill run with their saddle up their asses. i could never ever ride like that. maybe you get used to it.
Ive been training xc, being a dh guy at heart, and instead of blasting the most dirrect line, u more frequently find yourself picking the line that involves the least battles haha
Greg Minnaar...what an animal! Barely gets back on the DH bike after knee surgery and lands a podium finish. Awesome job, bud! Oh..and that was a cool edit/video/whatever.
