Today was training day on the gnarly Nordkette Singletrail.

The track is in perfect shape - all 4.2 kilometres from start to finish.

Last year's winner Marcelo Gutierrez is back and wants to break the record of 9:21min in Saturday's race.

South Africa's Andrew Neethling from the Polygon UR team has the perfect view over the city of Innsbruck racing down the Nordkette.

 Sam hill. He also had the last fastest time down psychosis. I think it was a 15km dh track. Had a 1km up in the middle.

 If they would use the full length of someski resorts in the alps.. that´d be crazy..
for example.. the start of the WC course in leogang is actually not even half the way up to the very top of the liftstation..
And there are by far bigger descents in some other parks...
for example Chamonix.. more than 2800 meters(9200 feet) of descent from top to bottom.. insane
