Red Bull Round Up 2008 - Let the Recutting begin!

Jul 30, 2008
by Tyler Maine
This past weekend saw an amazing amateur event take place over the course of two days. Day one was a street course on the movie set of Chicago Town in Vancouver, while day two moved everything up to Whistler for a show down in the Boneyard. While the riders battled it out for two days, everything was getting captured on film by amateur videographers as well as some Red Bull assigned pros.

Now it's time to cut the footage up and submit your best ReCut from the weekend's event. Read more to learn all the details. (Links to over 200 pictures inside)The top riders from the weekend were:

1-Mitch Chubey
2-Graham Agassiz
3-Curtis Robinson

Videographer / Editor Contest Details:

Red Bull is always looking for "goto" videographers and editors to cover action packed events all over the world. This is your chance to get on the Red Bull radar.

After completion of the Red Bull Round Up, we will post a selection of our "resident videographer’s" footage on PinkBike.com. Once posted, the aspiring videographers/editors get until Sunday, August 10, 11:59PM PST to cut their own 1 to 2 minute video teaser using the footage made available to them. Additionally, videographers get the added advantage of using their own footage to make their final cut stand out above the rest.

Here's how you do it:

1. Film your own additional footage by attending the event. (Encouraged)
2. Download the stock video footage provided.
3. Edit the files with your favourite editing program.
4. Export and upload your trailer to Pinkbike.com.
5. Win!.
