It's been a great season @RideSlovenia but it's come to an end. Our main man Jonathan Tubman and friend Alex Stock (#SBGravity) headed out one last time, before the snow arrives to take on one of the toughest trails we have found here. This steep trail has over a thousand meters vertical and is littered with roots, huge rocks and loam. Thanks to @Hopetech. Captured by MZPix.
Sure, come! Im one of the guides at Ride Slovenia. There are a lot of similar trails to ride to. From easy xc to bike parks to really technical, vert style trails. Come and check it out!
My favourite trail in the world, its just awesome For all those commenting about riding hiking trails, this one follows a ski lift, and you can buy a bike pass at the lift to specifically session this very trail. It might be a footpath, something that make it so good trodden in over centuries not built but MTB is encouraged on it.
Get out there and ride it, Ride Slovenia will show you the sunny side of the alps on quiet trails with great views and many trails almost as good as this one
Call me crazy but.... As sweet as loam is, I grew up riding the granite gnar of northeastern USA, and I would take those technical rock n root strewn sections all day over the loamy open stuff... Just more of a rush railing over the gnar for me.
Sweet vid, nice location!
Soory, i had to. It's just that we have almost anything you can imagine (not deserts obviously), crazy alpine rock strewn trails, where you have to vert ride, smooth flowy trails where you just pin it and EVERYTHING in between, even a mix of both of the above in a couple of 100 meters of vertical. And all of that on only 20.256 square kilometers of area, which is like 1/15th of the area of Colorado.
Velika Planina (trail in the video is located there) is awesome! I remember when I rode that trail when I was still on a hardtail. Gotta ride it again soon!
No respect to nature :-(. You should like ride this in bike park, not on walking paths. If everybody would try to corner like this, trail would be destroyed soon. That is selfish.
Who wants to globe trot to those amazing trails with me?
PS - don't expect me to ride like these gents, great edit guys!
Come and check it out!
