Rimpact Launches New EDH & Gravel/XC Tire Inserts
First time running these in the Pro model this season. Very impressed with Rimpact inserts. I usually cannot run Maxxis EXO tyres without at least one pinch flat per day. Six weeks with my current rear and not one flat!

Details Revealed for Hope's New Tech 4 Levers
I have run Hope brakes for the last seven years. I am a full time guide in the Alps. I put them on at the start of the season and usually don't touch them again except for pad changes. A few things I have noticed over the years. If your Hope brake do not feel great. A bleed usually sorts it out. Watch the videos on the Hope website on how to do this properly. There is a couple of stages to get all the air out of the system that not many seem to do, even bike shop mechanics. If your pistons are sticking, lube with silicon gel. This works better than mineral oil. Run genuine Hope pads, red organic provide the most power. Sintered or aftermarket don't cut it. I run a 220mm rotor on the front and weigh 75kg using an Orange Stage Six. Not the lightest set up. Our trails are some of the steepest anywhere and never felt I did not have enough power. A world Cup mechanic recently told me there is no reliable brakes at the moment. Not true these brakes are, I refuse to run anything else. I see so many issues with clients brakes on all the big brands.

Reader Story: Mountain Biking & Autism
Thanks for posting this. My youngest sister was diagnosed with Dyspraxia. She will never ride a bike or drive, the coordination part is a struggle for her among other things. I have never been diagnosed, I don't think it was really a label when I was a kid. I do remember seeing child education psychologists. I was a pretty hyper kid and struggled with paying attention at school, I was capable but just never found much of it stimulating enough. I see a lot of my sisters traits in myself, although less severe and identify with what you mention here. Most of my interests were outside of school and mountain biking was always one of them. In fact I turned into a career. If you can embrace everything that comes with these conditions, life can be rewarding. I would not change a thing. But me and my sister were lucky that we had supportive parents like yourself. I cannot imagine what it like for some children that don't have that.

Now THAT Was a Bike: 2004 Lahar M8 - DH Bike Week
Spoke to the designer/owner Aaron in Fort Bill in 2003 I think it was? He was racing the World Cup or at least doing practice. He had cut halfway through the top tube with a hack saw to prove how strong the bike and carbon actually was. Seemed a bit crazy.

In Memory of Farmer Jac Jones: 1947 - 2020
Great memories working and riding at Moelfre. Jac was a legendary host. I am glad he enjoyed having us around. The top of Moelfre on a sunny day is one of the finest places you can be.

In Memory of Dave Garland: 1967-2020
Met Dave through racing in the Uk. I had one of those Romic shocks that Dave was appointed the endless task of repairing. He would always fix it for me and tell me how it was one of the best performing shock there was. Only years later I realised he was right. He was a real selfless bloke with advice, even for small time privateers like me. Through the years I bumped into him every once in a while and always found it funny how he would remember me and stop for a chat. Lost a good one.
