Tracks like this are why us brits have so many top level riders!
US tracks are fast, but not anywhere near twisty and techy as UK tracks!
Would be nice to see a race run though, instead of just rolling down having a laugh!
And then there is Canada, the tracks are great out west and in quebec but Ontario's tracks are SHORT but really fast and make in some parts in here look flat. Altogether each country/province/state has its feature.
BDKR, sadly no trail Windrock is nowhere near the steepness that this track is. Really, no resort trail in the US comes close to this. New purpose built tracks would have to be made.
We have the terrain here in the U.S., lets be honest, some of the gnarliest, steep, fun trails are illegal/non sanctioned trails, not in bike parks, where they also have to cater to the weekend warrior.
Gee is looking pretty quick at the moment, I'd possibly say quicker than danny down there... So it'll be interesting to see who takes the win for Elite.
Nah he shouldn't. Claudio would need to be back in the head space he was in ten years ago to preview this like he previews the current WC tracks. Been riding with Claudio back in the day so trust me I aint dissing Mr Super Grover. Had a funny Xmas eve with him actually. He was shocked at how kiwis behave on christmas eve . . . 'At home it is like a family time - this is like the wild west!'
And that's below the threshold because?? Claudio is having fun riding the current WC tracks. The top section here isn't like anything that has been on the WC circuit in the last couple of years. He has raced Dh tracks like this but surely he doesn't need the stress of riding this these days - there is a reason people retire. He could get seriously hurt and he has responsibilities to people other than internet warriors. A track like this requires an elite dh racer head space. It's all Zen. That's why Rachael and Manon beat lots of the guys - the track didn't dominate them. They have the mental game to race in these conditions.
so many line choices all over the track, a few awesome sneaky big lines if you have the balls by the looks of it. Love it I am over these one line dh tracks,
That track is gnarr, it's soo much worse in the flesh lol. Went there last year for the Pearce series and riders were axle deep in the top section it was so wet - carnage everywhere
TTC? Yes.
And basin side Snowshoe is pretty damn close if not as steep on "SOME" of it's runs.
