Video: Follow Jérôme Clementz - Making the Most of it

by Pinkbike Staff

After his crash at the end of May, Jérôme got surgery on his shoulder. Follow JC during this period without racing to discover what he does for his come back, which should be soon!

"After my surgery I had to do nothing for 3 weeks in order to rest and do not move my shoulder at all. As I am used to train a lot, I got bored after 2 weeks so I did some home trainer! Right after an engineer from Cannondale lent us his tandem, Pauline was my pilot and we went to ride together.”

Jey still follows the Enduro World Series. He went to Scotland to encourage his friends and in La Thuile we decided to invite a journalist, Trevor Worsley, to live the team from inside. He got the chance to ride Jérôme’s race bike, got the support by the mechanic Matteo, and enjoy a week-end of racing with the advice of Jey, Ben and Pauline.

Now Jey can ride again his road bike. In July he goes to a rehab center in order to strengthen his shoulder and get fit again. He will come back on his mountain bike on August: “Thanks for all you message of support! Now I am excited to ride my enduro bike again”!

Sometimes videos make you think it's all partying , goofing off and racing. ( not there is anything wrong with that per say. ) But it is very interesting to me the perseverance and dedication devoted to keeping in top shape it takes to be at the top of the heap. True athletes.

Nice wee video, good to see Jerome on the mend and hope to see him back soon. Its crazy the amount of top rides that have been badly injured this past year. To name just a few. Jerome Clementz, Fabien Barel and Dan Atherton. Looking forward to seeing you guys all fully fit again

How I love this guy! Always humble, soft spoken and committed to his sport, plus he's such a complete rider -- even on the road, he seems to be pretty dangerous… Wink
