Hey man, I know you told me you was buying this but I wasn't expecting it so soon..It looks very nice, love the colour. Are you waiting on a few parts for it?

It's all built up now. Yeah the shipping from CRC was 8 days! Usually more like 8 weeks. I just needed to take a pick to show how slack the HA looks. I haven't measured or anything and did ride it to work this morning (just pavement) and it felt compact and very DH capable. We shall see! I'm going to save up for a stealth dropper of some sort. Not sure which one yet. Suggestions?

Droppers are so hard for me to recommend as I've never had one. Going by the reviews and comments on the bike forums I'd say a Thomson or a KS lev or a Reverb..but I still keep hearing mixed opinions about all three of them. That's one of the reasons I still haven't bought one. Thomsons are nice but then is the hydraulic system of the Reverb better or the KS kev is another option. The new all black KS looks nice but so does the Thomson look nice. Difficult for me to choose at the moment.

I've had great experience with the KS, I have had a lever (non remote) KS, and 2 LEVs. This is the first frame with stealth routing and I want to go all black if I can. I know the reverb does that as do the new KS integras. It'd be nice if they weren't all $400 though! Crikey! The frame was $530 after all. What I'd like to do with this frame is go 650b but that'll probably take some time saving.

Yeah those new all black KS lev integras aren't cheap. I heard they had a few issues with the internal routing with those but I think they made a fix for that on the latest ones so probably nowt to worry about. If you want internally routed stealth and all black I'd go with the KS. I don't think I could be doing with the play that I've heard is in the Reverb.

good to know. I'll have to check those out a bit more. I quite like the cable actuator and like the idea that I can adjust hose length at home without special tools or rubber gloves etc. Plus I can pick my cable colours at will!

Yeah I heard too that the cable system is good on the KS.

You and your coloured cables...lol

I'm thinking you're going to go with Red cables this time...Smile

maybe red and white? to go with the medical army jeep theme! Actually I have grey shifter cables on there now and it looks pretty cool! Kind of like a Vietnam helicopter

You know looking at that frame I reckon under the paint its exactly the same as a switchback pretty much. Probably made in the same factory.

Haha. That would be nice but this is no Stanton.

Absolutely amazing, thanks! Took it to work today for its first little trial run. Haven't hit any trails yet though. So stoked!

 Oh man..looks bad ass!

 Why this over the Stylus?

Numerous reasons none of which matter because I seem to suffer from bike ADHD. But since you're asking I like the fact that it is 650b compatible, has stealth dropper routing, 65.5 HA and 73 seat tube angle. Other than those points it's very similar. Beefy steel hardtail! And I'm partial to the army green.
