all thit is good, a bit of history yeah, my grand father told me when i was a youngster. he was looking at my bmx and where were talking about what it was used for this was in the 1980s. hee told me that they used to have races with a group of friends, down hill and in forests where they lived. they used to use old grocery bikes because they were stronger. and cut the basket trays off. they even used to line ther tyres with a cut up old tyres so they wouldnt puncture easly.this was before world war 2. im sure this went on all over the world, i once read an article on martin whitley trek team manager, grandfather doing the same. they had races too. im not saying my grandfather invented mtb or anything. these guys were the nuts yeah. just they all made very sucsesfull buisness that changed the way we ride today. i saw the clunckers film and wish my grandpar coulda watched it with me. he rode almost till he died. bwaaaaaap

haha they called it repack mountain because every time you went down the hill/road you had to repack your bearings because they'd be so messed up.
