What an action packed weekend for Australian mountain biking, the Cannonball Festival in Thredbo, the opening of the Epic Trail at Mount Buller... but right down the road there was also an Enduro race happening in Mansfield, Victoria. High up in the hills above the town, this lonesome hill has been awaiting a mountain bike event for years, with the right time and patience it all started to happen.

And boy was the wait worth it's while, these trails were so diverse and threw challenge after challenge at the riders. Open and rocky at the top, straight into pine forests and thick pine needles in the middle, followed by native Australian bushland at the bottom... littered with off camber straights and tight turns, they proved to be a favourite amongst the riders and many noted the potential this 700 acre property provided.

Weather was up and down as thunder storms circulated the high alpine country all week, providing on and off rain, keeping the riders on there toes... and some on the ground. Eventually the storms started to settle and slow and by race day, it was perfect conditions.

 I wish I lived in NZ! Absolutely beautiful. Just on the off chance, is there a US military base there?

 1st Stage was around 4km long 2nd Stage was just under 3km

 They got shuttled back up, so just the length of the 2 tracks.
