I actually think they're quite handy to throw a bottle in there and chuck your tools, wallet, energy gels, etc in it.

Great article! Getting on a plane tomorrow morning and I'll be spending a week up in Cairns, girlfriend wanted to go and it just so happened to coincide with the World Cup................... ;-)

You think you guys have trouble... ha ha ha! 99% of the MTB parks in Australia are in Regional, State or National Parks, that means a lot of public consulting, a lot of environmental reports, etc... the New Zealand government from an outsiders point of view seems to be behind it 110%, I hear about a new MTB park being put in every other week... and it's by Australian trail companies, ha! The only part of Australia that is behind MTB completely is Tasmania. The new one in Christchurch sounds like it will be good!
