First Look: Forge+Bond's New Thermoplastic Wheels
The fundamentals that our current economic state were built on can not continue. The reason everything has been so cheap is because we have always just harvested more and used cheap developing nation's labor. We haven't been paying the full expense for our amazing lives and others have been paying it for us.
Material costs, labor costs and carbon offsets need to be a larger part of the final price of everything in the future if we want to continue to exist on this planet. These wheels aren't the final solution but they are a step forward in the right direction.

@wolftwenty1: I mean sure. But it looks like this project was A LOT of work for a whole team of people that got to be a part of such a cool project. I'm sure a lot of these people will remember this for their entire lives.

$4800 CAD2021 Trek Fuel EX 9.8 XT Size L
Mechanic owned and well cared for. Cleaned after every ride. Suspension fully rebuilt last winter. New XT shifter and bontrager dropper installed a few months ago. This is still a mountain bike that has done mountain bike things. There are some blemishes in the clear coat.
This version of the Fuel ex is about a pound lighter and more nimble than the new version.
140 mm travel on a Fox 36 performance.
130mm travel on a Fox thru shaft performance.

Bontrager line elite carbon wheels
Bontrager carbon handlebar
Full shimano xt drivetrain
Shimano SLX 4 piston brakes
