JOURNEYMEN chronicles the distinctive experiences of three riders through the 2014 Absa Cape Epic. Dubbed "The Untamed African MTB Race," The Absa Cape Epic is highly regarded as one of the most difficult mountain bike stage races on the planet. Situated in South Africa's Western Cape, riders tackle 718km of riding with nearly 15,000m of climbing over eight consecutive days.

I'm really stoked on this, enduro with periodic downhill gets old really fast. I've spoken against xc before but now I can see why it's popular, it's incredibly fun and it's nice to see the facial expressions of the riders suffering, it makes them more human imo.

Been mechanic for 3 years in the row now . quite simply a mad race , hard on bikes and riders , lots of tought guys pulling out on day 3 . best of mechanical XXYZ parts melting every day . Fun to pitch up in the back country for few days and night and , off again to next pitch up . Learning a lot from everybody everyday . and after finish that race , everyone deserves a Red Bull Crash Helmet . and me more beers .

Have a look at Joberg2C, just as long, half the price and includes the trails of Berg n Bush and Sani2c from day's 4 - 9. Much more relaxed atmosphere and double the enjoyment. www.joberg2c.co.za
