Aaron Gwin Joins Commentary Line-Up for First 4 DH World Cups
Well, seems I am that guy… personally, I like Gwin’s subdued and analytic commentary way better than Warner’s pre-scripted jokes and “look at the time” shouting.

YT Industries Announces Vans Collaboration
@Hogfly: I’m not saying they are racist - and even if they were that would probably not mean that they would not use a black spokesperson. What I’m saying is that their use of symbols is highly insensitive and will likely be purchased by the wrong people/for the wrong reasons. Brands like Lonsdale had to spend a lot of money on campaigns trying to get rid of that image again.

YT Industries Announces Vans Collaboration
@drjohn: I know what their branding looks like. If they are fine with who will be buying these shoes that show two parallel lightning bolts at the back, well, then they’re probably fine with the political agenda of these people, too. Unfortunately, many people in Germany are in that kind of symbolism, adidas was also surprised by their number 44 national jersey selling like crazy and finally took it off the market. Any brand can decide, what they want to be associated with.

YT Industries Announces Vans Collaboration
Obviously they will collaborate with absolutely everyone if they are even willing to put those questionable YT lightning bolt runes at the back of their shoes… (not surprised that the color choice is black white and red, though… - how especially a German company can be so insensitive to the symbolism they’re throwing around is beyond me - unless it’s fully intentional, of course… https://m.pinkbike.com/photo/26252289/)

Tech Briefing: Fancy Suspension, Carbon Wheels, Spring Apparel & More
I’m really not into complaining about prices all the time, I still feel stuff for our hobby is kind of reasonably priced compared to some other, and I tend to see the engineering that has gone into many products… But that one is really impressive.

Sklar Opens Pre-Order for Tall Tale Hardtail
@JonDud: I’m 6’1”, too, and I think I’d prefer the XL over the L. And I like that there are still brands making short chainstays to go with those long reach numbers. I guess, preferences just differ. This clearly is not a bike for everyone. But it should ride pretty similar to my Canfield Nimble 9, and if that’s the case it will be great for what it is trying to be.

Did they also make any changes on the technical side, or is it still necessary to re-tighten the screws every 15 minutes trailside?
