It seems to have become some kind of recent tradition that the Wideopen mag race team escapes to Malaga every winter for some Spanish sun and more importantly of all, lots and lots of dry, dusty downhill runs on all kinds of trails uplifted by the crew at Roost DH. In this short video team riders Jay Williamson, Laurie Greenland accompanied by friend and fellow rider Nial Oxley test out one of the most recent and popular additions to the trails Roost DH are able to offer to the riding public.

Good vid apart from that!
RIP Dane. Hope you knew how much we all loved you, and you know how much work you did for the sport.
As I said, sweet riding though - lets concentrate on that!
I agree with what Gee said. People have died so many tragic ways over the years. We could say "don't jump into pools, it's dangerous" but to an extent, that goes without saying. It's called a calculated risk.
I missed the relevance because the way Searls died wasn't hugely important to me. His life is what was important.

On the other hand quite a few people die in attempts to jump in a pool, not improving whatsoever skills but just useless random acts that imply a easily underestimated risk of injury. It might be seldom that people injure themselves this way, but when they do it's often serious or even fatal. It's just not a thing worth supporting or spreading.
Anyways, cool vid. And actually, winter hasn't been that bad in Austria, some winter days felt more like September or October.
Either wasy it was a sick holiday and I dont regret a thing. Yes it could of gone wrong, but it didnt due to us doing it sensibly and safley.
No one died in the filming of this video, Gee tested it on animals first.
