Welcome back to the second round of the 2016 French Enduro Series. Just about a two hour drive from the beautiful Cote d’Azur, we are in Val d’Allos and surrounded by stunning mountains and beautiful hills. The French Enduro Series format runs a little different to others. There is not going to be any practice until Saturday when the riders get to ride each stage for a single time. Racing starts on Sunday.

The riders will compete on 4 stages over 26 kilometers of downhill, they only have to pedal 5 km uphill, the chair lift will take care of the rest.
Amongst many others, there are Florian Nicolaï, Sebastien Claquin and Cedric Ravanel competing in the men's elite class. Cecile Ravanel is riding in the women's elite class and Sabrina Jonnier is competing in the women's E-bike class.

You need an e-bike for an event with 5km of climbing? Am I missing something?

E-bike category make no sense on such an event. The french series used mostly uplifts. So why bother with a 20kg+ bike? Nostalgic of old freeride bikes??

At leadt one thing the uci is doing right: motored bikes are not bikes. Well let's see if they don't change their mind under industry pressure.

Gonna sound like a dick, but looks like Sabrina Jonnier has been spending a little too much time on the e-bike.. getting a little thick around the middle
