Rocky Mountain Growler w/ Upgrades!

$1300 USD
2021 Rocky Mountain Growler 29er, Size Large Originally a Growler 20, but has many upgrades! Fork: Rockshox Pike Select 150 mm (excellent condition) Bar: Spank Spike VibroCore cut to 780 mm (about 790 mm with grips) (excellent condition) Dropper: Fox Transfer 150 mm (good condition) Dropper Lever: PNW (excellent condition) Shifter: Shimano XTR 11 spd (like new) Derailleur: Shimano XTR 11 spd (like new) Derailleur Hanger: NSB (like new) Cassette: Sunrace 11 spd (worn condition, but it works) Chain: Shimano 11 spd (good condition) Brakes: Shimano XT 2-piston (good condition) Front Tire: Maxxis DHF 2.5 DD tubeless (good condition) Rear Tire: Maxxis DHR II 2.4 Exo tubeless (good condition) Crankset: basic Shimano 175 mm (good condition) Wheels: Rocky Mountain TR30 alloy (good condition) Pedals: not included Frame Protection: Most areas covered since new Extras (included in the deal): Rocky Mountain Dropper Post 170 mm (excellent condition) Shimano XT 11 spd shifter (good condition) Shimano XT 11 spd derailleur (OK condition) So, obviously this bike has been ridden. I like to think I take reasonable care of my bikes, and I tried to set this one up to be as reliable and fun as possible. There are some basic parts that aren’t exciting, but they get the job done just fine. There are a few parts that are worn (cassette), but again it does the job just fine. There are a few nicks in the paint, and one nick up high on one of the fork stanchions (see pic). This nick does not affect the fork’s performance, and the fork does not leak at all. The frame protection has a couple edges starting to peel up, but it’s doing its job. Super-fun bike! I'm selling because I want to go single-speed, and want to try something a little different. I'll ship at buyer's expense.

Opinion: The Pace of Change in the MTB World is Slowing Down, and I'm All For It
@EdSawyer: Skills...or riding style? Or luck/random chance? I suspect most people who choose heavier tires do so out of frustration with lighter ones. It doesn't make much sense for me to compare my experiences with my friends. Yes, we ride the same trails, at roughly the same speeds. And some of my friends can get away with using lighter tires, whereas I cannot. Am I less skilled than my friends? Perhaps, but but again same trails and comparable speeds. I choose heavier tires because I find lighter ones to be frustratingly less durable, at similar cost per tire. On the innovation front, I would love to see lighter tires with the durability of a DD casing. On the economics front, I would also love to see all bike tire prices come down to more reasonable levels.
