The top 2014 UCI DH team and 2014 world cup winning team is proud to welcome ONE Industries, 100% and 661 as new partners for the next two seasons. Loic BRUNI and Loris VERGIER were in Spain for testing a few days ago and had the opportunity to ride with their new race kit and to put together this nice video to celebrate the new partnership.

at 1:20 is that the wheel or the triangle bending? Sick edit, but i'd kind of expect no less.
  • 3 0
Looks like Both to me Smile
  • 4 1
 nah just the wheel
  • 3 1
 Spoke tension. Noodles.
  • 1 3
yeah had a closer look in 1080p, triangle doesn't move its the spokes/wheels bending back and forth. Doesn't seem very confidence inspiring, or is that kind of the norm?

IF the wheel was uber stiff traction would be shit cornering , their suppose to flex
  • 4 3
Pro's also run low spoke tension for better grip and cornering. Be too stiff would mean the tyres will loses traction easier

If you look the bike close-up pictures , you will realize it's because of the design of the rear link, creates much flex, typical single pivot issue...

oh no, you did not just say lapierre is a single pivot oh gawd

@HutchJR Yes he did. "The new bike utilizes a new linkage they’re calling the LST Super Link Technology. It’s a linkage actuated single pivot suspension system." link -http://www.sicklines.com/2014/06/17/lapierre-prototype-650b27-5-downhill-bike/

oh yeah sorry i was thinking of the pendbox thing ... stupid me
  • 1 0
 It's the spokes
  • 3 1
spokes are not the flexing things... the rim has pressure exerted on it, the spokes move in that direction. not the other way round
  • 3 0
The spokes don't make the rim flex... They allow it to under load. More tension on the spokes allow for less flex...less tension allows for more flex. It's the spokes.

whatever... it bends thats all hah

Which helmet are thy running? 661s or One industries? Because this one is looking way less bulkier, then the ones the Athertons are wearing.

the rhythm line in the opening shot, so perfect. Whistler needs something like that inbetween dirt merch and crabapple, looks like a scaled down outdoor mx track.
