Race The Ranch: 2014 - BC Cup 2 by ShoretoShore

Last Sunday, June 1st, in Kamloops B.C was the annual BC Cup race at the Bike Ranch. Coming from all the excitement of the last BC Cup(NW Cup) in Port Angeles, riders were making their way up to The Ranch as early as Friday to walk the course and find their lines. When we arrived on Saturday morning the track was classic Kamloops riding, dusty, loose, and dehydrated. Several tents were set up for the race teams and brands. Most riders arrived on Saturday morning and by lunch riders had already ridden the course thoroughly. Saturday afternoon/night was full of good vibes with riders hanging around The Ranch, relaxing and staying hydrated for race day. Sunday, riders were strenuous to make it down the course as fast as they could, without wiping out from the loose dusty corners the course carried. The wind increased as well which caused many riders to crash on their run. The race was exciting to watch and was great event to be apart of!
