This weekend see the 4X ProTour reach its final round in Malmedy, Belgium. Just a few kilometres away from Spa Formula 1 circuit, the track is huge and will showcase some fast action tomorrow in the ProTour finals.

A lot of top guys are riding full suspension bikes but will the hardtails lead from the start? Here is the track preview with Scott Beaumont, Blake Nielson, Luke Cryer and Dave Roberts with a special cameo from 4X ProTour and PinkBike filmer, Lars Veenstra.

Maybe it's just me, but that track looks desperately in need of some maintenance. If 4X is to grow and be taken seriously, we gotta have tracks that showcase the efforts. Still love the coverage regardless.

nah it does, the past few years they have not been putting a lot of effort into track maintenance... its the same with all the other tracks in that bikepark

ICUJeremy i come at malmedy once a month to ride but they have never heard of maintance there. Ride the 4x track means flat tires. All the tracks are totally destroyed but it is the only bikepark within 50 minutes of riding with an elevator so we dont have much of a choice. Maybe thats the luck the got because if there were better bikeparks in the area people would not come to malmedy.

Looks like a fun course, plenty of room for overtakes with a few bottlenecks for added tension - is this being broadcast at all - I assume not

damn that track needs some work...

For all the people going on about how it's a BMX track and then saying it needs some work, the major thing that's separates BMX and 4x is the rough nature of it. And the fact there is grass turned out to be a good thing with the torrential rain, it held the track together.

weak course! Bmxmtb at least it looks like room to pass

The course is amazing, all the riders love it and the video doesn't do it justice to how knarly it is

guess not, just looks like bmx I know 4x just never was what it could have been here in the states. Not moto enough and starts always about the hardtails send em down a ski slope to start where they need full suspension. I don't want to argue about it just hate that it killed slalom, to me a much cooler event.

Yeah this definitely isn't a bmx track. Most guys were racing full Susses and there's no way you could get down it on a Bmx. This place is a ski slope in winter and was very steep and rough, far more than most other track

Yeah I think the rider talking is on an enduro sx? The rough nature of it is awesome, we can't just make big-wheeled bmx tracks. But as a showcase for a pro tour? At least mark it out properly and cut the grass. Love the chop, but from where I'm sat it looks amateur and overgrown, bit like a private track.

Lars, make a cool video of the race please

I wouldn't be able to focus on the course with FEST jumps in the back!

Good to see another track in the protour, but what has happened to Houffalize?
