@chocolate-thunder: 100%. I remember Messere's first year too, boosting way higher than anyone else on a hip.
Back then just the sheer height was enough to keep a decent score but I think now it would massively weight it down because there's not at least 3 combos of flip / spin / bar etc

That 2010 video is so good - I miss that era of slopestyle, even up to 2014ish the courses seemed so much more creative. Remember Cam McCaul, Ben Boyko, Mike Montgomery, Lacondeguy etc throwing mad style down before it was all just about how many barspins you can squeeze in.
The big stylish moto stuff was so cool. Miss those days!

Agreed - crankworx used to be huge and something loads of us followed. It now just seems to be hugely watered down with little hype/media/brands in attendance.
