Weather in the mountains cannot be trusted. Friday's storm clouds turned into white pillows which rumbled across the sky thanks to the high winds.
360 double whip shot on a Martin's way up to the 8th spot.
Mr. Henke showed us a solid but not mind blowing first run with a tricks like this 360 tuck no hander, but unfortunately he cased on the first jump in his 2nd hit.
Quick three sixty tailwhip on the first jump from Anton.
Best Trick winner, Antione Bizet pulled a double backflip no hander during his run and we think that may be the world's first! Way to go Antione!
Anton had a few problems during his final run, but the Swedish style never left him.
We don't often have a chance to watch combos like cannon ball to nothing during the contests but Sam was kind enough to share this one with us. Reynolds was riding on an insane level, pulling everything clean and fast.
Matt Jones did a 360 tuck no hander to barspin in his run for the 3rd place overall. The funny fact is, if you look closely he is riding a MTB. 26Trix finals may be the most insane dirt jumping competition we have ever watched.
Stylish downside whip from the young Canadian.
Signature move from the Polish shredder. He was a bit unlucky in the super final but still he managed to produce one of the most creative runs.
The recipe for the podium standings may sound easy if you think about combining style with jaw dropping tricks. The hard part begins when you drop in the course. Thomas clicking that 360 table with an ease.
Three sixty superman seat grab from the "La Frite" who took the second step of the podium by storm.
Peter pulled a 360 double rocket barspin just a few seconds after leaving the start ramp. Watching his fellow riders slaying the track hard must have had him inspired.
Peter cased on the first jump in the 2nd try and his previous safe run was not enough to go futher than the 12th spot.
After Mehdi lost a season due to a nasty injury, he is now back and ready to stay among the best at the contests. Downside whip for the 11th spot overall.
Thomas Genon spinning for the 2nd place through the rare glimpses of the Sun.
Same trick but different angle? Nope, it's Yannick with his flowy French style.
Flip whip on the last set from Anton.
Thelander on his way for the seventh spot in the grande finale.
Backflip oldschool from Peter Henke
Martin flipwhipping the Austrian soil.
Martin double whips looks easier than an x-ups as he pulls them so clean.
Downside whip on the mid section of the 26TRIX's enormous jumps from Messere.
Yannick Granieri pulled a clean but simple run which gave him "only" the 10th spot. Here is a 360 tailwhip from him.
Styles for miles from the Morpheus rider.
FMX style from "Szaman" will never get old. This double grab is plain sick.
Cashroll per contest rule starts to be a routine during the FMBA stops in Europe. Nicholi did this one just perfect.
Anthony Messere flatspin table was one of the highest jumps during this weekend in Austria.
The most corked 720 in the game?
Lazy frontflips may be the new signature move for the Nicholi.
Sam was on fire during finals and he may had the run of his life here in Austria. Enjoy a lovely bikeflip from him.
Points for spins. Triple tailwhip on the last jump from the NIcholi Rogatking.
In case double backflip was not enough for the judges, Antoine thought about spicing it up with a little no hander during the flight. We are mind blown now.
I have landed it once or twice in the foam pit so I must have it now - Matt Jones did the biggest backflip superman seatgrab we have ever witnessed.
First double backflip on a DH bike, than double backflip no hander on a dirt bike. Antoine is pushing the limits hard.
Casual champagne showers from one of the craziest riders out there.
Nicholi is getting used to spraying the joy of winning over his fellow riders. Who will stop the USA madman?
Emotions where so high that we can't really figure out what Thomas had in his mind at this photo.
All I keep hearing and seeing from the riders on IG & FB is that the level of riding was the highest it has ever been, but yet no video. Can we please get some video footage up?
Yeah kinda a bummer but I believe EVERYTHING was well documented, if not else, then with spectators' phones. Eventually they will show up on social medias (at least I hope).
i don't care for the live webcast as long as it is recorded in video. If its not recorded then that would be reallly dissapointing seeing the sick tricks everyone was doing
I've got to say this- if Bizzy really dropped the 7cork and double no-hander flip jump after jump, I'm not sure what the others had done to beat it...
Lazy frontflip and decade seem too poor for that.
Same thing with the bikeflip from reynolds...
I think we need some video from the comp to make a final judgement, but at this point, I think that Bizzy should be on podium...
From the other article on the homepage: Nicholi - Cashroll, one handed superman seatgrab, lazy front flip, double tailwhip, a barspin at the hip and a frontflip tuck nohand
Dude, I get that the motostyle tricks are stylish, but U can't really claim that one-handed superman seatgrab is the same level of trick as cork 7... Double tails (to be honest, even the triple tails) and the lazy frontflip were seen at least a couple times in Nicholis runs, so there's no innovation but the fact that somebody sticked the cork7 and right after that doubleflip tuck no hander is the SHIT, it's never been seen before, I'm sure. That's progressing the sport! And the guy, that sticks those tricks in one run, jump after jump doesn't get the place on the podium? Funny stuff...
The level of risk that Bizzy was taking should give him the podium, I'm not sure instead of whom he should get on the box, but my bet would be on Genon- he's very, very stylish rider, but in my opinion sometimes overscored...
Dont want to sound like a douche here but.. Nicholi really put banger after banger, and tripple whip is really hard and what i know someone have never done a frontflip tobagan? Nicholi did that last jump, and cashroll is a trick that only 3-4 mtb riders can do? So im not surprised that he took it all home. But i did miss Antoine and the swedes higher up. Allthough i heard the swedes never got the runs they wanted..
Niklas- first thing first- Nicholi didn't get the triple tailwhip, but the double one which in this time isn't nothing spectacular, cause there are people sticknig them both ways already- Semenuk, Rheeder f.e. Ok, if U stand for that argument- how many people in the comp can stick the double flip no-hand and how many times have we actually seen one? And I'm not talking abou the comps only, I'm pretty sure the this was the first ever doublebacky with no-hand ever on MTB... And how many of the riders can actually stick the bikeflip?
There's not so many riders actually sticking the cork 7 either and I'm pretty sure that we've never seen this kind of tricks performed one by one in the single run, not even from Semenuk or Rheeder... Actually Bizet can also stick the cashroll...
And in the frontflip tobogan subject- I'm pretty sure that we've seen anybody sticking frontflip x-up. fronty tiregrab, frontflip nac-nac etc. but that doesn't mean that those tricks can be matched in terms of risks and technical level with the cork7, bikeflip or doublebackflip? When I was writting that Bizzy shoud've been on the podium I didn't mean that he should have won the whole thing, but I'm pretty sure that in the terms of risk his run was way more wpectacular than the Genons run, which was pure awesomeness in terms of fluidity and style, but come on, 3tables are in the game for 10 years now same as 3whips and truckdrivers and I'm sure those were the thing which Genons run was filled with...
What has stood out for me: In this contest alone we saw a double backflip no hands, several corked 7s/360backflips, a bike flip, a cash roll, a superman backflip, a lazy front flip, at least one front flip no hands...
The progression is insane. 2 years ago any one of those tricks would have won you a contest. Now you can do a corked 720 and a double backflip no hands in the same run and not even get a podium spot...
This is so true Tom, just from last year to this year the progression is totally crazy.. Cant believe some tricks are accually pulled on MTB, wonder how long it will take untill we se Dub. Whip to bars and other insane bmx tricks on mtb like 3whip to downwhip, its just matter of time!
cash roll you start by doing a 180, then rotate backwards over your shoulder and spin. kinda going backwards against the spinning motion
360 back is all in the same motion, spin and flip backwards at the same time,
360 flip: Take off the lip like a backflip and start spinning as soon as your front wheel takes off. You will do a 360 while rotating a backflip then land. Cashroll: Think about doing a front flip flair but once you get halfway you start spinning the opposite way into a regular (backflip) flair. Maybe you start spinning then do a backflip 360 as well... I'm not totally sure as I've never done one. Crazy either way.
