SPECIALIZED ENDURO EXPERIENCE

At day break i headed out for a 3 hour hit out on the Enduro.Having been sick or injured the last 7 months and only riding the odd trail i can finally get out and test the Enduro out. This was my first long ride in a very long time.I ran out of puff after half an hour but the love for riding is as strong as ever.

hahhahhahaha RideOn! The Enduro is looking sexy! Great climb and ride down matey! I love all the slow motion editing and great angles. I could feel your exhausted persona of pure bliss! Its a funny but awesome feeling to be totally tired after a ride which feels so goood! RideOn!

Hey mate thanks for watching....wow, i was totally exhausted after this.It was so humid and the rain poured just as i got home. The bike is something else, the rider needs to lose wieght hahahaha. The edit was just a quick one,if i had the time i would do more but want to focus on getting better on the bike and getting confident again not to mention getting fit and the only way i can do this is to get on the bike and ride....feels so good to ride again brother thanks for the nice words RideOn

WOW good timing brother! Sounds like you have similar weather to Japan! Super humid and sudden squalls! Im happy for your accomplishments, the bike looks like she fits you better than the giant. The giant was a killer bike but this has a longer cockpit and longer legs, I think she suits you mate! Get out and ride, take a friend and always remember to have fun! RideOn Mick! Niko

Hey bro, yeah the weather is going through a transition of winter to spring but the problem here is it is either really hot or hot hahahaha. This bike is really doing it for me.I like the bigger feel and would you believe that more than once i actually run out of gears on a section of single track up the hill....i have only ever done that once.I have a 36t front ring and was thinking of going to a 32t...no way now. Your support is very much apprecitated brother, means alot when my old buddies cheer me on.
  • + 1
Really wow stay with the 36 brother! I run a 34 on my bikes now but sometimes I need a bigger ring too! The endro must be a pedal king! Your support too is very needed! The brotherly pinkbikers are fun and always give me the cheer I need! RideOn Mate!
  • + 1
I actually run a 34t now bro...i am going 36 now i think.....just not sure....this bike out pedals my Trance easily.
  • + 1
WOW thats big! It out pedals the Trance, surly amazing mate! That says a lot while it also out descends the trance too Im sure!
  • + 1
Once set up right yes it will out perform the trance . That little bike could move when pointed down , just no control haha
  • + 1
Yes, but the trance is still a killer bike!

I just got a new HT the On-One EVO 456 and its awesome!
FR DH geometry with a long front fork and a stiff rear, it feels awesome!
I kept up with the big bikes last weekend!

Did you sell the trance?
  • + 1
yes i saw the new bike..love it. the Trance is a great bike. The frame and fork are sitting in the cave bro.Dont know if i will sell or not.
  • + 1
Thats tough! Having the trance is a cool bike for a change of mood or one that Sam could even ride too! I love having 2 bikes to choose which to ride for the same trails. It changes your perspective greatly! Last saturday was a HT day for me and its a great confident builder riding will all the big bikes! RideOn mate!
  • + 1
i will more than likely sell it mate for a XC 29er HT....still working it out but the Enduro is such a do it all bike.
  • + 1
Good to do mate! The 29ers looks like amazing fun! I am loving my new HT, just 2 rides including today and its a perfect match for me! As your enduro is set and ready to go a cool 29er sounds very sweet! I think a 29er would suit your trials very much too. In California the 29ers are all over and with their open trials like yours it makes sense!

Cheers brother !! Good to see ya back at it !! Love the garage looks like the man has completed his castle and I can still see room for the fermentation vessels..... Proper re-hydration afterwards.... Welcome back mate!!
  • + 1
Its good to be back J. I have put on 7kg lol.I am night riding and jogging and start a weight program today.I am starting to feel strong again but my fitness is woeful.Being off the bike is just horrible. The Cave is so cool,i live in the bugger hahaha and once i get a few things sorted like covering in the walls i am setting up a nice little fermetation area....will be hounding you for tips. Thanks for watching my brother, hope you are well.
  • + 1
Good to see ya back mate !! don't worry about that weight... a few miles and it will be a memory....I know what ya mean about being off of the bike....this past spring with the broken foot made me a very unhappy boy !! The cave is SWEET !! I would be spending most of my time in there as well ! Let me know bro, I got all of the tips that you need for great brews !! Best to the wife and kids !! Cheers !! Excellent job on that tray too bro ! Makes me want to fire up the grill !!!
  • + 1
I have been too tired to ride of a afternoon lately, picking up kids, helping with home work and getting dinner started etc .....so i thought i would get up 1 hour earlier each day and "Rock the suburbs" on the MTB.....just a few km to start.

I love a BBQ with a cold beer,so motivated to give brewing a go.
  • + 1
Hey bro you are motivated to go and ride even with the family duties.....Truly noble of thyself !! Brewing is a ton of fun.... been doing it for around 20 years.....it is addictive, as one can come up with some royalty brews in a short time !! However.....Beef does not ferment well if you were thinking of it !! LOLOL !!!
  • + 1
 Thanks for the support mate.
I cant wait to start the Brewing.Been visiting the local Home Brew guy a bit at the shops.Man he has some mind blowing shit.
and no.....Beef would not go too well lol.

Hey , I didnt realise but we have our own Ice Hockey league in Aussie.
There is a team called the Melbourne Ice who win each year, they are stacked with stars, owned by a former US Olympian.
They now have there own TV show called "ICE"......thought you would like that.
How will the Bruins go this season?
If i see another game with the Red Wings,Flyers or Rangers i will scream......its all we get but i have heard we are getting 4 games a week now on pay.
  • + 1
Sam, that is an AWESOME video!! So jealous, been working non-stop since spring and fall is here. Havent seen a pedal in MONTHS!!!. Cant wait to see the next video. You deserve some kabobs and brews...Salute!!
  • + 1
Thanks bro, just a bit of fun getting the old joints and muscles going again, man get out there and ride before the winter comes mate.
  • + 1
Bruv that was awesome! Enjoyed that, I think everyone who rides understands how frustrating it is to be out with injuries, and how much harder it seems when you get back on it. Sweet bike by the way!
  • + 1
 Hey brother,Hows things?
Thanks for watching mate,i really had a good time doing this although the best part of my ride was not filmed as i got tired of filming and just wanted to ride. The more punishment i dished out on climbs etc the better i felt and on this bike the downs are out of this world.Mate would you believe this 6inch trav bike is lighter than the 5inch Trance???? it is also a size large and while it might have some "pretty bits" i have built the bike on function and so far so good.
  • + 1
Its all good here thanks Sam. Keep at it mate, I look forward to your next episode!
  • + 2
Great come back my brother! Super cool edit and nice ride!
(P.S. - the beer part was the best, hahahahahha!)
  • + 2
Thanks brother, means a lot. I am just taking it slow as i am not what i used to be health wise but i am getting back to where i was slowly.....it felt so good to ride
  • + 2
Very nice vid, good job mate !
  • + 1
Thanks Lew.This was my 1st ride ever on this bike after having it for 2 months.I was sick for a long time and put on lots of weight but decided to just get out there one day for a few hours. These trails are in my back yard and i am very lucky. My riding is not very good but i just have so much passion for riding i could not imagine my life without it and do these videos for my family and friends all over the world.....thanks for watching mate, means a lot to me.
  • + 2
That's what riding a bike is about : just riding for your own pleasure, with friends, or familly, or by yourself ! That's real life ! Smile
  • + 2
 So very well said Lew
  • + 1
Nice to watch a Vid from U...took a long time...Nice Vid Mick! All the best!

  • + 2
Garage/workshop, check. Awesome/fun ride, check. Sweet bike, check.
  • + 2
Could not be happier with the workshop, just need Mandy to stay out.The ride was just a nice way to ease myslef back into it and i have a long way to go but really need this challenge and the bike is wonderful. It has very little blingage, just a "built to ride" kind of bike.I want to spend my time riding not making sure it has lots of pretty bits.....thanks for watching bud.
  • + 1
That's some nice riding! I wish I could do that right now... have a beer, that is! lol
  • + 1
cheers mate, love to have beers after i ride...i will have one for you now
  • + 1
 sick mate.wish i lived there
  • + 1
Yep,not a bad place to live if you like MTB .The footage shown here is freshly graded fire trail but the good stuff is up the hill a bit more.I dont usually film there as it is too much fun to stop and get the cam,you just wanna ride.
  • + 1
 Very fast! & flow!!
Nice riding!!
  • + 1
thanks mate,it was good to get out again
  • + 1
 very nice video

  • + 1
I always have a beer after each ride. Thanks mate it has been so long since i have got dirt on the 5 10's lol
  • + 1
 feel so good riding video!!
  • + 1
 thanks brother
  • + 1
Feck Yeah Pinkbikers !!!! Great vid and edit...Mancave looks awesome !!!
  • + 1
Thanks Si,I took the cam about half way with me and then hid it in the bush so i could really get into some single track and played with the suspension.....it feels so good to be back riding and yes,the Cave is looking devine but i just need to hide the key from the Mrs as she keeps taking shit from the house up there.
  • + 2
 lmao !!!!
  • + 1
great footage and angles,,,the edit must take ages on top of walking up and down for the camera while filming,,,I love watching the riding and all the nice vids but I think I'm just too lazy to do stuff like that, lol...man, the mancave IS the trailhead, unbelievable Wink
  • + 1
Nah its easy bro.....turn the f*cking cam on,point it at the trail, ride past the f*cker and turn around and go turn it off........i dont do a 2nd take ever,if it is shit footage well so be it.nothing fancy at all mate.the edit took 90mins ....too easy, give it a go bro as i have not seen you riding yet.Man i even got to look at SD's arse for 7min one day watching him ride,i am sure you could come up with something.

The cave is awesome bro, only 50% done but i am having a break from it now, just riding is all i am interested in...........thanks for watching ......
PS...i am having pancakes with maple syrup.....man that sweet goodness is the bomb
  • + 1
great vid mate , it must have taken ages to film Smile
  • + 1
Thanks mate,I filmed this in about 1 and a half hours , got sick of stopping all the time so hid the cam in the bush and headed up to the single track to really test the bike out.Self filming takes a while but well worth it when you sit down to edit it.thank you for watching
  • + 1
nice video! love the toast in the end! cheers
  • + 1
Cheers to you bro,it was a toast to MTB and my mates on PB.
  • + 1
Lovely bke mate,i want one,how does she go?
  • + 1
Mate get one!!!!! I am not a great climber but when i came to climbs i used to walk up on a smaller travel bike i just kept going. If you do get one, dont be afraid to use less air in the suspension than you usually would to really get the most out of a DH like trail.....so much fun.The 2013 stuff is amazing but this 2011 will do me.
  • + 1
I have an 08 stumpy and want to upgrade, have heared that the 2011 enduro is still the best!,by the way the stumpy is great but fancy a bit more travel !
  • + 1
The 08 Stumpy's are wonderful bikes.I see them every now and then here on the trails.I went from a 2011 Trance and was waiting to buy the new 2013 Reign and was really dissapointed by what they came up with.A mate was selling this frame so i jumped at it.The extra travel and longer wheel base is what i wanted and the choice was well worth it.I have heard the 2011-2012 are a great model but with Spesh you always get a great bike out of the next model due to there wonderful R&D dept.If you can get hold of one of these bikes do it.As i said the climbing is what has surprised me,very well balanced bike and they dont look too bad either.Do you find many of them 2nd hand where you are? no one sells them here , i was so lucky
  • + 1
There are still some new 2011 bikes for sale here but but am about 6months away from being able to afford a new bike ,but hey .............good things come to he who waites!
  • + 1
I know all about waiting mate, trust me.good luck with the hunt for the new bike and please dont give up on buying one.I think these may well be the best kept secret out there.
  • + 1
just found a shop in Brisbane who has these bikes going for cheap.Mate if you can get one do it.I have bought 2 of them for mates yesterday...very popular. You can even buy frames for half price if you want XL.Man i could get it and ship it to you
  • + 1
nice video samjam, watched with pleasure.
  • + 1
Thanks for watching mate. The real riding for the day was up the hill a bit on the single track.Thats where the bike was a boss.Would you belive that 5 minutes after this vid was taken it poured raining and has not stopped 24 hours later.Welcome to Tropical Queensland lol
  • + 1
You just made my day mate! Mick rides again, yippie ya yeah!
  • + 1
Its been a while bro,I have put on so much wieght from medication and no excersize and it is a great feeling to just ride again. Thanks bro for the support.
  • + 1
 what happened? Frown
  • + 1
Mate i could wright a very big list of things that have made me sick this year , i just got one bad thing after the other....I injured my foot while landy a jump but mostly illness from a Staf infection i got in February which still effects my day.Just part of life brother but i can tell you this, when you get older you need to look after yourself with a better lifestyle.I have learnt the hard way but i am finally getting fit again
  • + 1
hey,i don't drink,i don't smoke and i try to live in a healty way Wink
good luck mate!
  • + 2
its a good way to be brother.I nearly killed myself working way too many hours...now i have halved my hours at a new job, eating better and spending lots of time with my kids, wife and the bike.
  • + 2
i only wish you the best, hopefully some people can still recognize the value of life
  • + 2
Great comment mate.It may take some people a long time to realise like I did and some will never realise it.Life is good mate down here and i hope your life is good too. Thanks for the well wishes.
  • + 1
 Beer nice
  • + 2
thank you sir....us oldies have to keep going
  • + 1
 how does the bike climb?
  • + 1
I raced a 4 hour xc race on this bike and did about 1000km on it before I sold it ... Really miss it too... Climbs just as good as any bike I have ever tried
  • + 1
thats great, you had the aluminum comp 26 version right?
  • + 1
yes mate thats it.....i went to light rims and 2.1 tires for racing and it was fantastic but i wanted a 29er and have never looked back.If i could afford it i would go a enduro 29er
  • + 1
