I am neither 1 nor 2.
pedestrians may have the right of way, but rewatch both of those situations in which hikers/runners had to move out of the way- how would me stopping do anything to avoid that at all? all it would have done is that my momentum would be lost, most times hikers can continue moving and go by moving bikers without having to move at all. however, hikers also mostly pause whenever they see a rider, regardless of whether they are stopping or not.

1) Ignorant of the fact that hikers have the right-of-way. Being unaware of this however can be remedied... please learn the IMBA rules of the trail (#4 in particular) and you can stop making all other riders look like bad people.

2) You already know the rules and trail etiquette and simply don't care. Thus making you a dick.
