well, ive riddena cowan ds, and it was super nice. i really liked it. my friends is set up with a really stiff back shock, so its like a hardtail. but then again, transition would pribably be stronger, and has an inch less travel. so more ideal for dirt jumping. both are great bikes, but id say the double

With the Bass I believe you can run SS as well.

No point spending so much on a mythic/banshee.

Im not a fan of konas, but i do like the Bass, and it has a concentric BB so you can run SS.
The double is alright, i have a rich friend who has a Bottlerocket and a double, and i must say i prefere the feel of the bottlerocket for all riding, even street!!

also it may be worth looking at the solid flair - its a bit more travel, can run SS, looks pimp!

hope this helps

Id go with the double as it has better DJ Geometry, the standover is much lower, so its easier to can etc etc.

I would go for the Double or the Rampant.

Double!!...Rode it all last year and loved it. It responded good on some smooth, not too tech DH trails also. Hopefully going to build it up to 30lbs this winter!!
