Hey guys
2022 Slash 9,8 Large
With install RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate Coil RC2T.

I'm between 200 and 210 lbs depending on if I carry stuff or not.
Any suggestions on the Spring Rate I should go for at first ?
Cheers

I'd use the actual formula before using a spring rate calculator. TF Tuned, and some other spring rate calculators, were quite low when I used them and therefore I ended up with three springs while trying to get my SAG set.

1) Choose your SAG amount - Let's go with 30%.
2) Rear wheel travel * SAG percentage tells you how many mm of SAG 30% is - 160*.30 = 48mm.
3) Using a leverage ratio chart, the Slash has a leverage rate of 2.7 at 48mm of SAG. Multiply 2.7 by your rider weight (let's use 205lbs) - 2.7*205 = 553.5lb spring.

For reference, TF Tuned told me you should be around a 500 lb spring.

Hi,
I have a 2023 slash with a super deluxe utimate as a rear shock. I would like to change to a fox FOX FLOAT X Factory 230 X 62.5. However it seems to me that I will need an adapter because Fox does not do Thrushaft. Does anyone know where I can find this?
Thank you

You don't need an adapter

but you will have to change the lower mounting bolt and get the appropriate hardware , its the same bolt and hardware from the gen 3 rail i think

Hi. I have a 2019 slash, and I’m think about changing one shock to an X2. I have seen here that some people have using 230x60 give them 156mm of rear travel and my question is, that changes the geometry? And if it is a warranty void?

It occurs at the bottom of the stroke, so it doesn't really change the geometry unless you also change your sag.

It only affects your warranty if you let them know you did it.

Hi, has anyone replaced the throughshaft shock on their slash and are looking to offload it?

Has anyone had luck with a mullet set-up on a Slash Gen 5? Putting my 13 year old kid on a medium this year and worried about him jumping to a full 29er set-up. I'd probably run the mino link in the high position to make the geometry not too slack. Thanks in advance.

I just had mine fail and RockShox is currently replacing it with a brand new one. Once it arrives, it will be for sale since I'll be installing a coil on mine.

Looking to replace my ThruActiv Shock on my 2020 Slash 9.7. I'm looking at a fox replacement since I have a discount with them. Was wondering what has worked for others. How have people gotten around the Truionn set up on the ThruActiv shock? I saw that dirtlabs sells a piece that adapts to regular eyelet shocks. Thanks for any help you can provide.
