Switch to 203mm rotors with the magura adapter (or Hope). Or replace the rear with a 2-piston caliper (not entirely sure it fits, but it should)

Hey,
I own a commencal meta v4 in size medium and realized today that my new Magura mt5 do not fit in the rear. Anyone who has a solution for this?

If you use a 203mm rotor, it should fit

Same for Hope brakes: 180mm rotors don’t work but 203 do

Looks sweet... it's actually a 4.2 though. There is a 4.2 thread I believe.

It's titled 2017 Meta AM V4.2 I guess.

This bike is a 2018 but V4 are 2016 and older.

I have a 2015 meta v4 am and I have just blown my rear shock. Does anyone know if a vivid air would fit on the frame?

Nice.. still love my 2016. Went through 3 bikes year after year before I found the meta V4. At least one more season with mine, it has been really good to me and is the do it all bike I was looking for.

DId you raw that frame yourself?

Yes, I had an operation just over a year ago and I couldn't work or ride for 6 weeks, so out came the paint stripper and wet and dry!

use paint remover, and alot of different grade of sandpaper, and metal scrub with aluminium polish.

stickers can get it here:

I stripped the frame with Nitromors. I found it worked best when left on the frame for 5-6 days (rather than the 2 hours it said on the can!). I then took off the worst of any defects with 120 grit wet and dry. After that I flatted down the entire frame with 800, 1000,1200,1500,2000 and 2500 grit.Went over again with T Cut, then polished with Silvo Wadding. Fair to say it took a while. I've also sealed it with Renaissance Wax in an attempt to keep oxidation at bay.

Hope someone can help me out here...
Looking to buy a meta am 4.2 in the next few weeks, but I'm unsure on size
I'm 177.5cm (5'9.9")
Inside leg 81.1cm (31.9cm)

The commencal sizing recommends a medium, however number like reach and wheelbase are shorter than my current bike, which I feel could be a bit bigger.

The only thing putting me off going for the large is the seat tube height, and how some had said the seat never feels low enough. Any input would be great. Cheers????????
