5.5 just as good... Depends if you got a thing for carbon/money to burn

Hi - what does everybody think about getting a used neck brace? Specifically this one - https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/1897903/. It looks really nice and its a really good deal but I don't want to take any chances, especially considering the carbon fiber construction. Thanks.

That is the Fiberglas DBX not the carbon DBX.the carbon leatt looks allot different.

Mate, in my opinion, the old version of them neck braces are not worth it. Even if it's used.
Look out for the new models (4.5, 5.5 or 6.5). The clearance and maneuverability are drastic compared to the old models. Spend your cash on something you're actually going to wear. I used to own one like that. Could't use it for dirt jump. Ended up selling it and getting a 5.5. Best choice I made in my life.

^ This. I went from a 2 to a 5.5 and the difference is incredible. You want it to be comfortable so you'll wear it consistently

Atlas braces suck, I bought one and used it for one ride then sold it.

I too had an atlas neck brace, also sold it due too the loud din when the helmet touched the brace, also didn't like the fact that it gripped my jersey and slid about..
But that was the 1st gen brace, with the new strapping things might be different..

With that Ortmea, look as there abit of padding around the top back/side to stop that din in the helmet..
Only thing I would worry about is, the adjustability of the brace e.g with a spine protector

Can somebody tell me how to put the straps on to a Atlas Brace? I recently purchased a used one and cannot figure out how.
