don't know if any of you guys know this, but you can get the KHE mac tires (dirt or street versions) in 26" as well as 24". i should be picking a pair up from my LBS on monday, who got them in for me. if you are intrested in getting some then i surggest you get hold of you local distbuter.
on problem even the dirt versions are so weak its not even funny i dont trust those tires

well i have to find out for myself once i get them. Although they are not cheap!
plus if i use the macs then i should save 2lbs of weight from my current tires, which will make a nice difference as its rotational weight that i'm saving.

Do the Small Block 8's have good sidewall puncture resistance? I hated how my holy rollers would just flop in the sidwalls, though I love those tires tons. Also, do they ACTUALLY come in 24" width? Thanks.

I have never paid attention to tire weight before.... but helping someone build a bike and they want it light.... What are the lightest good durable tires out there.....?

Small block 8 so far. They don't roll as fast as a slick but still pretty quick pumped up full at 75 to 80 psi . 2.1 rated at 520 +/- 25g mine are 500 g. In 1.95 they are 420g =/- 25 . I ran a few light weight slick tires in ther rear and trashed them all riding street. But in the case of the rear street use it will go through hell. They came out with a 800g hookworm with silkworm and soon to release a DTH with silkworm that I am eagerly awaiting .
There is also the new specialized rhythms coming out 600g and with the reputation of these tires may be well looking into
DMR super motos 700g supose to be solid
Some are running street cruiser slicks now . A lot more durable but rate at 650+. With street more rubber helps a lot. A popular rear slick cruiser tire is the tioga city slicker 510 g for the 1.95 once my lbs restocks I want this one for the rear .

Intense lose their Knobs real quick.. They are real fast rollers, might be good to have a pair only for racing..
I prefer Maxxis DTH, they roll quick and are awesome for dirt. Does anyone weight compared which is lighter?
