Got an idea for a portrait project for school. Not sure exactly how I should go about it though. My plan is to have multiple diptychs of people from one of the occupy movements. One side very close up portrait and the other will be of the sign that they have with them.
I'd like to have them this style, but Im not a 100% sure on the light. Are these naturally lit or can you guys tell if there are other light sources? Im not sure. I have access to a reflector and flash w/ diffuser. http://www.dannyst.com/gallery/portraits-of-strangers/ Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://www.dannyst.com/blogimg/gallery-portraits-of-strangers-02.jpg
Got my D200 on Saturday, it's definitely an upgrade from my D80 and it'll tide me over until I have enough for a D7000 or w/e. Pretty clean up to 1600 when you expose correctly but I can see that changing in a club setting in the darks
Yeah once you stay in the native ISO and expose properly its all good.. If I push it to high 1 then that's another stop so 3200 and its noisy as f*ck.. I won't be able to expose everything properly in a club so I just wonder what the shadows will be like as thats where noise is most evident.. Still stoked on it though.
