There won't be one. The biggest problem is that the riders all run with a certain amount of risk, as we saw when carbon fibre frames were making their first changes. The first v10 was the same weight as the old but ridiculous amounts stronger, but now they have reduced weight to improve speed. They don't improve the durability, they improve weight reduction while maintaining previous strength/reliability standards. They run that speed advantage at a failure percentage risk. And so when lighter newer more reliable methods of keeping tires up come around they'll cut it down until they get the same amount of problems, just lighter/grippier/more predictable. The problem is getting that % of risk vs. time gained to an acceptable level. Either that or sweeping enforcement of a tire/tube/wheel standard across the series that nullifies punctures but that's highly unlikely.
