Thats sick!

I remember when the SOCOM came out, 2007 or 8-ish. I was on a VPfree at the time and thought the SOCOM was going to be the more agile version. If I recall correctly early production of SOCOM was listed as all "race" frames right? as in thinner wall and less life span. Did that change over the years?

Yeah bro, was designed as a light playful race frame. It was one of my wishlist frames after seeing Kovarik on one back in the day. Mine is a inbetweener. The first ones had a steeper head angle as far as I know. Mine has a 65* stock (sitting at 64.5 just now) and only two cable guides rather than three on the later models. My one also has the bent seat tube and 215mm travel. I believe the later ones had the straight seat tube and 200mm travel. Raw, FRO. I love it. It's poppy and easy to unweight and jumps well. totally different to the M3 I had, doesn't have that foldy feel.

Loving seeing all these great bikes.

Still have my old 2007 Intense Uzzi VPX Works Grey. Only issue I have is I think the Marzocchi 66 RC2X fork is on its way out, too much brake dive Frown

Just finished this build after I bought the frame/fork second hand, the pic by mrkamot is the first one I've found that matches my own so closely. Every pic up til that one has a few details slightly different, I was starting to think this was a proto.

This is my first FS bike so I'm excited to see how much better it handles compared to my rigid 26 SS,

Yeah I still rock my 2012 Tracer VP:

Intense Tracer VP

I built it shortly before my first daughter was born, so it did not see that much use really. Still not that much riding time, so I won't buy a new one that soon. Toying around with the idea to get a new 27.5 fork, I bought a 1.5->tapered angleset already years ago so the starting point is there... Apart from a slacker headangle I don't miss anything really.

That blue is amazing.

I had a tracer 2 that color, and I miss it.
