Why Did Bernard Kerr's Prototype Frame Break at Crankworx Rotorua?
@WRCDH: This x1000!! As someone who used to travel the country training aerospace companies how to properly perform different types of adhesive bonding, I can say you are 100% accurate in your analysis. The frame failure is similar to what happens when too much primer is used, surface contamination (silicone), or lack of basic surface prep (one could argue all of these are examples of). Pivot said they believe the failure was the material used to limit corrosion. Amazingly it sounds like they didnt do lap shear testing of various material, thicknesses, and surface prep. Or if they did, it sounds like they need to update process and procedures for the technicians. Ultimately, this is just an example of new engineering, failures happen and we learn. Glad Kerr is not hurt, want to see this bad ass get the #1win !!!

Burning Question: Where Do Wheel Component Manufacturers Stand on Tire Inserts?
So I used to use insert. Stopped a few seasons ago. Just run proper casing and pressure for terrain. Also check psi every ride. All my old inserts are just collecting dust in the garage now.

YT Capra Uncaged 9 MX Ohlins, and upgrades

$2900 USD
Serious buyers only. If its listed its still for sale. Bike has sat unridden through winter/summer 22/23. Bike is in excellent condition. Everything works and looks new. Has several upgrades (listed below) with the idea to bring bike to enduro factory race performance. SPEC: XL size is L in most brands...485mm reach. Mullet frame (flip chip adjust bb height, slackness/reach) -rear travel 170mm -Fork travel 170mm but has been increased to 180mm (see below notes) -Fork: Ohlins RXF38 m.2 fork ...travel increased to 180mm, will come with stock 170mm air spring. $200 upgrade. -Rear Shock Ohlins ttx coil...I have several rear spring weights. Buyer can select preferred spring. -Renthal Bars -Sram drivetrain E13 chainguide/guard -Maxxis tires DHR2 front and Dissector rear -cushcore in rear tire UPGRADES: -Metal head set cap. Stock is plastic and breaks causing creaks. -Hayes Dominion A4 brakes (all reviews rank as one of the best brakes) -Front travel increased to 180mm (also have 170mm air spring and will go to new owner). -Wheel set upgraded: Stock wheels on this are horrendous. Upgraded to Alum front wheel with carbon rear...this gives the best performance with grip and comfort in the front and acceleration and pop in the rear (vital just did a test you can read about) I had a custom carbon rear wheel built by Elevation Wheel Co in Colorado Springs. The front wheel is a Stans Flow rim with DT Swiss 350 hub. These wheel are bombproof and lighter than stock. -Gold valve stems for the matching bling The good: Ride wrap from day one. Best brakes and suspension on the market. You can see the sprocket, cranks, and rear derailleur still looks new, the black paint on those usually wears away after a few rides. The bad: The only scratch happened on a shuttle day. A pedal rubbed the swing arm, non drive side (you can see in pic). Its minor, but I wanted to point that out and adjusted the price accordingly. Happy to ship at buyers expense Paypal plus fees or venmo only (cash in person) open to reasonable offers only
