I didn't replace the yoke/extension, I just removed the DPX2 and replace it with the DHX2. For clarification, this is a medium size 29er Long travel. Stock shock is 210 x 50 and the DHX2 is 210 x 55. There is no interference with the frame, rear tire or seat when the shock is bottomed out. See below Big Grin

Is this an evo 29 or regular 29?

That's correct. Regular 2019 Stumpy LT 29er in low position.

Has anyone ran 210x55 on a 27.5 Stumpjumper with flip chip in low position? It’s clear that it’s fine on the 29er, but what about the 27.5?

I'm also wondering if anybody has any experience running a 210x55 or a 210x50 on a 2019 stumpy 27.5. Looking to upgrade but its difficult to find the 52.5. Also If you have any ideas on getting a good tune with a non stumpjumper shock.

For those that have a coil on the Stumpy. Are you having to run a stiffer spring or is there enough progression on the stock link?? Any issues with broken shafts??

I weigh 145-148lbs and run a 450lb/in spring. It's the right spring rate in terms of ride feel, but it's easy to bottom out if I pump hard through a dip or land to flat from a few feet up.

I can bump up to a 500lb/in spring to help with that, but then it just rides too stiff.

No issues breaking anything, and I've been running my DHX2 at a 55mm stroke.

Just buy a sprindex adjustable spring and never worry about it. Loving mine!

Another option is Cane Creek progressive Valt spring. A 400-488lbs sounds good.

Hi guys,
I drive a Stumpy S-Works 29 and want to upgrade to a new Fox X2 in 2021. Does the damper fit into the frame without dragging anywhere. it would work if I took one with 210x52.5 to increase the travel like with the Levo SL

Thanks

So funny enough, after posting this, my shaft broke at the very end the next day. A buddy told me that the same thing happened to another friend of his on the same model Stumpy.

This was already a warranty replacement. You can see how worn the first shock was. Clearly, the linkage is putting force through the shock that isn't inline with the shaft, so it's essentially subject to bending/shear every time it compresses.

Thanks for the pictures but it grinds the frame on the cross brace when it moves. Can you please take a picture once it is fully immersed in the cross brace?

I'm not sure what part you mean

On the photo you can see that the damper is touching on the side of the frame.
You can take even more photos when the damper is fully compressed. The frame side whether the damper is touching.

I also want to get the damper and am unsure whether the outside of the frame is touching
