I have an 01 konsa stinky.
I like it, I think it's a good bike.
I'm sure when I finish all my upgrades
it'll be a great bike.

I bought it used for $750 (canadian) and I haven't done any upgrades.
I'm gonna get newer, better forks are shocks and new brakes
and a new crank because everything's pretty old.
but it's a really reliable bike.
I was just at whilter with it and my other two friends
had to get some fairly big repairs, all I had was a new
derailur and a flat tire.
I use it for downhill and a little bit of dirt jump
but I would recomend it for dirt jump

You want a GREAT all around/freeride bike for around the same price as a stinky.

BUY A GIANT REIGN !!!

End of thread.

Sick ass bikes right there...

Better than a stinky by far, geo and spec wise.

UNLESS YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT, DO NOT BUY USED!

Unless you can get a friend to help you out, don't even think about it, cuz you will probably buy something that is not suited for you, or is broken or sucks.

O+

smartest thing said on this thread so far... i'd actually take it one step further to a reign X... x2's are like $2200 brand new...

i like stinkies, they feel very stable in the air, and i find with kona, its easy to just get on the bike and ride, u dont realy need time to get used to the feel. just throw on a 888 or somethin, cuz u dont want tghe drop off 4, and make sure u have a chain guide. but id say its a very sexy, nice bike

thanks guys, GIANT REIGN is out of price range, so its a bad idea to buy used? some ppl recomend it... what it my local bike dealer has used ones? or new would be much better?

Yea, thats what I ment, i didn't really specify.

The X2 is pretty freakin sweet.

But if you could manage to buy the X1, wit a 36, you are set for life.
