hey , looking for a wee bit of advise , so i have a compressor and spray gun and filters etc all set up and was going to have a go at some proper spraying instead of rattle cans , what would you recommend spraying with? i know 2k isnt a great idea due to the toxins , so ive got cellulose , 1k acyrlic or synthetic as options , i know 1k isnt overly hard wearing so was thinking of using synthetic as it is relitively inexpensive and hard wearing , any thoughts? thanks

Just get a face mask and go 2k. Far superior to any other form of paint.

Was reading that you need a full booth setup and respirator for 2k?

So long as your in a well ventilated area like a garage with the door open you'll be right. Also make sure that everything you don't want painting is covered as that shit ain't ever coming off.

Yeah, it'll be fine for occasional use. I've sprayed 2k primer and clear about 25 times over the past 6-7 years and I'm not dead yet, I just wear a good mask with decent canisters.

Pink bike forums are having issues with images right now. Not the users fault.

Bit of a WIP.

Rawed my frame over the past couple days and clearcoated it today.Gonna let it hang for a couple days for the clear to cure, then i"ll assemble everything.

Today I primed and painted the fork for it as well as pedals and seat collar.

Yea, lol. too lazy to take the fork apart...I've taken forks apart completely before for painting and it was a PITA. I took out seals and wipers...stuffed the legs with newspaper. So, instead Ijsut taped off the seals and stanchions as well as the top caps and had at her.
