It's called left hand drive (LHD) and is set-up that way because he grinds on the right side more often than the left thus making the chance of landing on your sprocket and chain (possibly breaking them) less.

i was just making a point that pro's bikes only "look the part" because of just that, they are pros. if a pro had any bike it would "look the part" because they can do cool stuff on it. hence: it's all in your head...
