Interesting in a couple of ways. You are a racerboi with the quarq, but went with 130mm fork. Also, you have a large but 170mm cranks.

Great Buildup, nice looking bike.

Haha good observations. Yes as someone who is fitness focused with previous racing background, I love metrics and all my bikes have power meters. 170mm cranks to better suit my inseam. Medium felt too short and glad I sized up.

Thanks! Exactly what I saw when you posted your specs earlier in the thread

FYI. 190x45 works for rear shock. Just mounted Fox dps and it has no clearance issues what so ever.

What size rear tire are you running on what width rim? Can you measure how much clearance you have at full compression?

Clearance is 4-5mm
Roval 30 mm
Spec 2.3

Just got back from a ride. Zero issues w 190x45. Used all the travel a few times on CO front range trails. There was significant less pedal bob on the fox as well. I got a shock from a 21 ripley and it’s tuned great for the EE

Has anyone mounted an oval chainring on the new Epic Evo?

I would like to put my Carbon Ti 32T titanium o-symmetrical chainring on it and I need to buy a 3mm offset spider [I currently have the 6mm offset one off my Scalpel] ...but I fear there will not be enough clearance with the frame.

Any experiences and advice is welcome...Smile

Yep, I run an absolute black 32t oval, its the normal 3mm boost spacing so there are no interference issues. I run oval's on all my mountain bikes. The benefits of the oval are definitely more noticeable on the shorter travel Epic Evo than my longer travel bikes.

ok so with the 3mm spider it would just fit..with the 6mm spider it barely touches the frame

the problem is when the chainring is horizontal and the chain is on the 10 it touches and rubs along the rubber chainguard

Sounds like the chain could be a link or two too long?

no, nothing to do with chain length...it is touching on top of the chainstay on the rubber chainguard...

I’ve been thinking about trying running these on both my Evos… starting to get a little knee pain and heard they help… any truth to that?
