The head set is tight, the disk is new and the pads i think are old. Pads are the only thing I didnt check.[/Quote]

Is the brake rotor on backwards?

I run an 8" rotor with Sram Guide brakes and do some pretty hard braking for DH stuff. Fork is SOLID.

have a first gen lyrik solo air
the ones thats dificult to make it 170 because of the strange saft, no travel spacer*.
a frien of mine as a 2012 dual air modified to 150/180 (in theory) cartridge to sell
is it possible to instal on my oldy version?
if yes should change the oil amount or keep the standart quantities.
dont pretend to use on 180 but on 170 max.

Feels like my lyric coil rc2dh ramps up stiffness too quick, the first 2 inches is smooth but then she gets real hard quick. it was bucking me off my line in fernie this weekend and I wiped pretty good. new rebuild, and seals/ oil. Seems that adjusting low speed compression is not helping too much. Rebound set to quick.
Have med spring and I'm 170pnds.

Any suggestions? trying not biff too hard this steazzon.

sounds like a HSC issue. Did you rebuild with the same weight oil?
Also try bleed the air out of the lowers maybe?

should be the same oil. its 2009 fork with a 2012 compression damper. used Belray 5w fork oil.

how do you bleed the air out of the lowers?

Does it feel like hydro lock? Too much 5wt, or in the wrong leg, maybe?

I've heard this before. But when I try to assemble the lowers while fully or semi compressed, then there is some of negative pressure in there which prevents the fork from fully extending. So instead of 180 (totem) I have something like 150.
