What is min DH? Like non technical courses that would require less travel and be more suited for AM applications. Or do you want like a literal SMALL DH bike for younger people?
Commencal makes a 24" DH bike http://www.commencal-store.com/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=10251240
Maybe look into the Kona shred 20 if they still even make it. It was a hardtail but had disk brakes a was a pretty beefy 20"
Depending on age and size, a decent cross country bike would so. Parts are light and semi durable especially if he/she is racing on minimal skill...
I suppose he is talking about DH bikes with DH geometry and 160ish mm of travel ?
The Commencal Supreme 6 is pretty good at that (see my pics for an example). Basically, any bike with around 160-170mm of travel, DH geometry (low bb, lackish head angle, ...), other examples are Transition TR250, Transition Bottlerocket (more freeride oriented than the TR250 though), and I can't think right now of other bikes .... (but I'm prety sure there are dozens more out there)
