Hi All,

New here but have had a Canyon Nerve AM since 2011. Just changing the bearing and am having trouble with the 4 chain stay bearings. Just would like to know which direction the come out. Can each pair be drifted out together in the same direction. if so which way.

Thanks

Simon

A few close up details of the Spectral aluminium frame. When you look close, the bottom of the swingarm in asymmetrical, the shape of the frame must have took some designing! Is there a dust cover missing from the left crank?

Woah, how long you had the bike for ? Beaten the shit out of it,or better said enjoyed the heck out of it. Glad I've picked the matte black for my 8.9 Spectral 2015. That rust in the crank non drive side is not right..

Thats the better brake lever of the two, you should see the brake lever on the other side!

I've had a few enthusiastic newbie off's. I'm getting quite familiar with the trail side shrubbery. Having your feet clipped in and a big 29er hasn't helped on slow tricky (for me) stuff, any sudden unexpected stop and its over I go. The size of the 29er front wheel also makes some impressive somersaults over the bars if I'm not looking where I'm going and the front wheel hits something. If you go to Edinburgh A&E to have your wrist x-rayed I recommend taking a good book as I had a long wait, interestingly the staff weren't surprised to see me as they said a lot of MTB'ers from 7staines / Glentress come through the doors.

I like mountain biking but I can see theres a lot of potential for injury.

I know what you mean about the wait at A&E at the RIE, it's not my favorite place to visit, thankfully i've never had to on the bike yet but came close on a few times.

Where abouts do you go riding in Edinburgh? I'm just back from a great days riding in the Pentlands

I was just visiting Edinburgh. While I was there I'd thought I'd give Glentress a try.

Bizarrely I've found a small dent on the inside of the chain stay. How on earth did it get on the inside? As the rear wheel is fine. I can only guess that it was a twig that got snagged?

I saw today a jet grey Canyon Strive 2015. I think I am in love!

Anyway how come this thread's in the "Bike, Parts and Gear" room? Why don't we have our own Canyon room in the Manufactuers section like every other bike make?

I seem to have developed some problems with the shapeshifter! It only returns half way into xc mode. Air pressure is correct and it goes into dh mode fine. I have emailed canyon and will wait to see what they say about it.

I'd edit that out before a mod sees, you're not allowed to sell in the forums
