Yeah that's the one you want but if you can find the right one at a local hardware store it'll cost you a tenth of the price
you'll want 2 washers (10mm of course) as well to reduce friction

I know the Guys At World WIde they are right down the street from me and have given sick deals on all my parts. They got me my Monarch plus RC3 and the upper bolt. Jeff and Andy are great guys.

I just ordered a monarch plus rc3 for my 2014 slash 7. I did buy the shock specific to my bike, will I need any different hardware to mount this? Or will everything I need be used from existing, and come in the box of the RS monarch?

@ecooke21: i don´t know how it works in the States, but in Europe, i ordered one from Germany and all it came was the shock.

I had to order the bushings, well the online shop where i bought the shock payed me the bushings

I also had to order an upper boult, a nut for that upper boult and some washers

The user pilks94 was the one that pointed me in the right direction.

They have the 10x40mm spacer in stock, it is at the bottom of the list. Then you only need to get the special bolt trek uses or a Titanium bolt from a hardware supply store. When i bought mine i could only use the supplied spacers for the bottom mount the top mount I had to get the spacer and bolt.

But first wait for the shock to arrive and see what is inside then buy what you need, they might of started to ship the shocks with everything need for install. I got mine when the 2015 live was just launching so they might not of known to pack the proper hardware. Rock Shox had the bolts and boxes of them when I called and they mailed me one.

I'm contemplating swapping the RP2 DRCV on my 2011 Trek Remedy 9.7 with a Monarch Plus RC3. There is a slight difference in shock length (3mm) which I plan on using offset bushings to correct. The RP2 is 197x57 while the RC3 is 200x57.

People who have experience with this, please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll be buying a 10x40mm bushing kit for the upper along with 2015 Slash Upper Bolt which I've been told is 10mm and made for this conversion. For the bottom, Proshox Ti 3mm offset lower bushings 8x40mm should do the trick. My question is, besides the above, will I need to purchase any additional spacers?

Thanks for the ongoing advice and support fellas, I ended up dropping this project for a bit and am now motivated to finish again, with Whistler Bike Park open and wanting the slash for my son to ride.

So looking into the mounting hardware, in my case for an earlier model Slash (2012), it would appear that in addition to the 10x40 bushing, the upper bolt needed is one of these: http://www.bti-usa.com/public/item/RS7564?track=true

It's a bit different to the system in place with the DRCV (with bearings and bolts) so can anyone else confirm/correct that?

Here is a 2012 Slash that got a cane creek upgrade. I think he re-used the outer spacers from the DRVC shock on top of the 40mm spacers same as the monarch install on mine, the out spacers went into the inside of the evo link reducing the space down to 40mm basically the width of the DRVC shock. should be the same as the 2014 i would think.

I don't have DRCV on my Scratch, but I think you would sell a fair amount of those kits. There's lots of DRCV bikes out there and with the new Slash going to the Monarch, people are going to be thinking about upgrades.

So I'm assuming that different models such as the Fuel / Remedy / Slash will need different length bolts - do you know if this is correct? Or are they using the same length?

So I installed my monarch rt3. The top spacers have a tiny gap. You can see the aluminum shaft underneath. Almost like the black spacers need to be like .5 millimeters longer. Is it ok to leave it? I've got a 14 slash 7, I Got the complete monarch kit with spacers made for the bike. Are they all like that? I will post a pic, you can see the space I'm taliking about.
