Also keep in mind this has never been and issue on an dh race course, only tight turning trails.

Fork Offset: What Are the Pro Downhillers Running?
One thing to keep in mind is that with dual crowns, fork offset will dramatically change available turning radius. My wife’s r1 session came with a 51 or 52 mm offset 35mm boxxer and my r3 session came with a 46 35mm boxxer. I have a much larger turning radius and cannot make tight turns at low speeds like she can. This is also visibly noticeable when on our tail gate pad.
