Hey

Question for you guys, that might sound stupid

I can bunny hop fairly ok. Not great, but ok

But what I want to try to do is when you bunny hop and land back on the rear wheel.
I hop by pulling up the front and shifting my weight to bring the rear up. It works but I feel like I am wasting energy somehow. And I forces my front wheel down hard(so I don't dare try it off a drop)
My end goal is able to at least do a 180. But we will talk about that later.
Thanks for the help

Matt

I think it helps to learn to bunnyhop over something. You really have to pull that front end up high, then lift, if you want to go high.

Hopping over something is a must. For me, a bar which is above the ground is tricky - and it's not real life either. I find it so much useful to have boxes where the box is "on" the ground rather than floating. And boxes are forgiving too.

I put a parking cone on its side and cleared that. But yea. I guess I should push myself to go higher

Thanks

Just keep practicing, you'll get stronger a and go higher. And get more efficient and use less energy.

Try on a curb and dont go through the entire motion... think bunny to manual..

Keep your body upright as if you where going to manual, but lift your legs while keeping the upper steady..

Find a side walk or parking lot now ride at a decent speed and try and hop every line or the joint of every sidewalk section this really helped me get higher and more consistent hops.

I think that works if you're learning to hop both wheels at a time - the lazy low hop, but for a high hop, I don't think that works so well.

I practiced onto fun box or park bench to get higher, then progress to taller ledges and picnic tables.
