I wasnt assuming anything, but no offence, from what youve said anything that can be done cheaper is gonna get the same attitude. I was merely stating the fact that so many services and products these days are stupidly over priced for the actual end result. Obviously $450 dollar pedals that weight naff all are never gonna appeal to someone like you, but most pedals in the same bracket (eg crank bros 4Ti eggbeaters) are the same. You pay a lot for the extra engineering that goes into it, and the extra tool time if its cncd. Yes, pedals that are a tenth of that do the same end job, but for people concerned about the weight of their bike to that degree, some may think its money well spent. At least theyre happy theyve got a lighter pedal.

LOL! Looks real flimsy made of a road tire.
The MTB tire versions looks cool though, but the functionality may be questionable.
