Fenders & Zip ties...really?

How come nobody is making bolt-on fenders, like the Syncros Trail Fender or SR Suntour's proprietary bolt-on fender for their forks? Is folded milk carton plastic and zip ties really the best anyone can bring to market? Even the Syncros Trail Fender, which I love, unfortunately is only for Boost-spacing Fox forks, and not 15/100 Fox forks or any RockShox.

It doesn't seem like an insurmountable task to make simple bolt-on fenders in both Boost and non-Boost for the two or three major brands that already have threaded bolt holes on the arch. Someone? Please?

I'm only guessing here, but my guess is that there's just not much market for that. Fenders that are flexy and held on with zip ties are kind of a universal fit and stupid cheap to make/sell. Something a little more substantial may cost just enough to make it a fail in the market.

Marzocchi used to make a fender for some of their forks that attached underneath with a single bolt. I had one on my All Mountains. Don't know why other fork manufacturers don't copy it

I could be mistaken, but I think DVO is also doing that. The last couple of DVO forks I've installed had some kind of fender in the box, but mud isn't really a thing here for about 350+ days/year, so I didn't look closely and tossed 'em.

Appreciate the responses. I live in SoCal, and although I live in a perpetual drought state, it gives me comfort hearing all the little rocks ricocheting off the underside of the fender, knowing they're not kicking up into my teeth or vision. Zip-ties just rub the fork finish, unnecessarily wear away decals, and just look kinda bush-league...

I use double sided velcro strip, it makes it much easier to remove and if you put it soft side in it won't hurt your forks/decals. Here in the UK you can buy it in rolls 10mm wide, perfect.

I bought the Blackburn mudguard. It comes with a roll of the double sided velcro. Like stated earlier. Use it soft side in and I doesnt damage decals or paint and is easy to remove for fork services or cleaning and reinstall.

Manitou make an integrated fender for the newer versions of the Mattoc fork, it bolts to the arch, so it does seem that more manfacturers are coming round to the idea.

I also wondered this - especially as Fox have the screw holes for it!

I've got the Syncros ones on both my bike and think it looks so much neater than the zip tied ones.
