sorry misleading title...orange alpine 6, theres no threaded holes for a water bottle cage to fit to! I normally put them in my pockets which are deep for one pair of shorts i have.

Back pack or cycling hydration backpack with a tube that you can drink from on the go.

Perhaps some carry bag that can hold your water container
would be the most viable option, a water bladder would mould
to a more flexible shape than a hard bottle.

Depending on your preference, there are various
ways to carry on the body or carry on the bike, some suggestions
and links to work with if it helps

Seatpost Mounted Bottle Carrier
Possibly a frame bag that straps to the frame or seat post,
Shoulder carry hydration pack,
Maxpedition or similar hipbelt carry pack,
Small rail rack that mounts to the seat post,
saddle bag,
compact light weight air flow ruck sack back pack,
Trail runners body vest,

modify a bag with clips straps that could fix to your bars,
Nylon straps, ITW Nexus military buckles and hardware are redily available
online, grimlocks, ladder locks, D rings and cordage can make things better
at adapting small carry bags to attach to your bike.

Adapt modify chest, waist carry vest, similar to helicopter
crews with the mesh body vest and MOLLE loops.

My bad. Falls under the coincidence or timing Pal. If it's any consolation your answer was much better than my general one and sure it will be much more helpful to the OP and worthy of the effort you put into finding links etc. Smile

They make mounts you can strap to your frame
