Meanwhile I heard this weekend the Range is dead and there will not be another one as the current Sight has effectively replaced it. Which kind of makes sense to me.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Cool. I'm glad there is conflicting information out there - as I'd be pretty interested to see what changes Norco might have in store for the Range.
I hope they redesigned that super weak chainstay and offer more than a 3 year warranty. Those crappy chainstays are an open secret that Norco won't admit but everyone else knows. You mention broken Norco and people instantly ask "Is it a Range?" I really enjoyed my Range but I'll never buy another Norco after being treated so badly.

yeaaaaah buddy. They rejected my first claim saying "It isn't broken enough" a year later the bridge was basically sheared in two. They covered it but it is really getting close to the end of my coverage (and originally they told me the alloy chain stay was only 2 years coverage.) They were quick to get the bike fixed for me and I think I'd still consider a Norco again, but I'm definitely leaning towards other Canadian brands with lifetime warranties now.
